Cleveland. — Shohei Ohtani sigue consolidando su dominio en las Grandes Ligas. El astro japonés conectó este martes su cuadrangular número 20 de la temporada —la mayor cantidad hasta el momento en la MLB— y guió a los Dodgers de Los Ángeles a una victoria 9-5 sobre los Guardianes de Cleveland.

Ohtani castigó un cutter de Tanner Bibee en la cuarta entrada, enviando la pelota a las gradas del jardín izquierdo para colocar el marcador 4-0 a favor de los Dodgers. Fue el tercer juego consecutivo en que Ohtani conecta al menos un vuelacercas, una hazaña que ha logrado ya diez veces desde su debut en 2018.
Los Dodgers también contaron con jonrones de Michael Conforto y Max Muncy, mientras que el dominicano Teoscar Hernández y el cubano Andy Pagés sumaron dos hits cada uno.
En el montículo, Dustin May (3-4) firmó su mejor salida del año al ponchar a nueve bateadores y permitir tres carreras en cinco entradas para llevarse su segunda victoria consecutiva.
Ohtani punished a cutter from Tanner Bibee in the fourth inning, sending the ball to the left field stands to put the score at 4-0 in favor of the Dodgers. It was the third consecutive game in which Ohtani hit at least one home run, a feat he has achieved ten times since his debut in 2018.
The Dodgers also had home runs from Michael Conforto and Max Muncy, while Dominican Teoscar Hernández and Cuban Andy Pagés each had two hits.
On the mound, Dustin May (3-4) signed his best outing of the year by striking out nine batters and allowing three runs in five innings to take his second consecutive victory.
